1.10.1 Safe to install
The application Audio file to text is designed to recognize sound files containing human speech and convert them into text. It is important to note that the app is primarily meant for speech recognition rather than recording voice. It is advised to utilize other dedicated applications such as a standard voice recorder for recordings.
We discourage the use of this app for transcribing words from songs, videos, or any other recordings with background noise as this may result in inaccurate recognition.
For optimal results, we suggest using this application for transcribing high-quality voice recordings made in a quiet environment where the speaker is close to the recording device.
Application Features:
- Recognition of short audio recordings (up to 1 minute)
- Recognition of long audio recordings (over 1 minute)
- Support for various audio formats including MP3, OGG (opus Codec), AAC, MPEG, AMR, WAV, M4A, FLAC, and more. (FLAC format is recommended)
- Recognition available for 120 languages
- Auto Punctuation feature for select languages
- Saved recognized text within the application
- Ability to share text using multiple options on your phone
- Manual text editing capabilities
- Export option into text formats (available for Android versions below 10)
- Recognition of audio files shared from other applications (such as WhatsApp voice messages and file viewing apps)
How it works:
- Select an audio file to transcribe
- Choose the language and any additional settings
- Click the "Start" button
- The audio file is uploaded to the server and converted to FLAC format
- A request is sent to Speech-To-Text server for recognition results
The speech recognition feature uses Google's cloud-based solution - Speech to Text, which involves costs related to time-based recognition. Hence, the application is not free, and users are charged per recognition. Your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.
